Getting Started

First Run & License Activation

Install MagiaCap, start your free trial, or activate with a license key.

MagiaCap is available two ways: directly from the MagiaCap website (a DMG you drag into Applications), or from the Mac App Store. Both need macOS on Apple Silicon.

Direct (from the website)

  1. 1Open the DMG and drag MagiaCap into Applications.
  2. 2Launch MagiaCap — right-click → Open the first time to bypass Gatekeeper if needed.
  3. 3Choose to start the free 7-day trial or activate with your license key.
  4. 4Your key arrives by email after purchase on Payhip — enter it in Settings → License, or click Activate on the dashboard banner.

Mac App Store

  1. 1Download MagiaCap from the Mac App Store.
  2. 2Open it — your purchase is recognized automatically, no key or trial needed.
On the direct version you can activate at any time. Expired trials switch the app to read-only until a license is added. The trial gives full features, no credit card required, and the dashboard shows days left.
