Frame Rate

Set a per-project frame rate that controls how caption timing is written into exported FCPXML and SRT files.

Each project can use its own frame rate, which controls how caption timing is written into exported files (FCPXML and SRT).

How to Set It

  • Open a project, then choose a frame rate from the Frame Rate menu in the caption inspector sidebar.
  • MagiaCap supports 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94, and 60 fps.
  • The default for new projects is set in Settings → Audio & Export. Each project can override it.
Match the frame rate to your video's actual frame rate so exported titles land on the correct frames in Final Cut Pro.
